Description
Experience Level: Entry
We are the proud designers and developers of the Last Mile Digital Platform©, a Delivery Logistics Platform for Corporates and Enterprises.
We were on high-speed commercial take-off run when corona outbroke. Came to standstill and started to participate in Hackathons and the like to make life easier to all those who care and give making a difference.
We need a super-simple, super-friendly UI/UX app design to support the effort of grandmas sewing masks in their homes, geeks 3D printing stuff at home and SMEs or bigger enterprises that pivot to unknown, often unrelated manufacture on which they don´t have an established supply chain.
This is the workflow we see; your contributions will be highly appreciated.
To register
• Download the App.
• Splash screen with a welcome message and role choice: Maker, Driver, or Maker&Driver.
• Full name and ID document – Mandatory for everyone
• Picture optional for maker, mandatory for Driver and Maker&Driver
• Land and mobile phone (land mandatory for Maker, mobile mandatory for Driver and Maker&Driver)
• Address for delivery, pick-up or car park.
o Maker or Driver can have only one address
o Maker&Driver MAY have only one for both or two different addresses
• Address/es have to be geocoded and coordinates captured and sent. No need to show coordinates on screen.
• If any of the addresses can´t be geocoded precisely, we need a “Get coordinates” button, with a clear message instructing the person to go to the nearest point where a car could stop or could be parked, and hit the button to capture the coordinates.
• Capture Driver and Maker&Driver vehicle details:
• Car brand, model, color, plate number, capacity
To operate
Makers
• Will enter information on what they have (article, quantity, number of boxes, estimated dimensions and weight).
• We have to set-up one or two daily cut-off times for their input, say 22:00 to pick up from 08:00 the following day and 14:00 to pick-up the same day from 16:00.
• Choose a time window to pick-up the goods within the specified slots if there is good reason. By default, time window for 22:00 cut-off time will be 08:00 to 14:00 and for 14:00 cut-off time will be 16:00 to 20:00
• Choose the destination point from a drop-down list. We have to create a process to offer choices in a drop-down list. At first the list will have only a fixed destination.
Drivers
• Available start and end time for today (frozen) and next three days (editable). Accurate availability is essential to properly plan pick-ups and deliveries, we have to arbitrate a process by which every driver has to commit availability say latest at 21:00 of today for tomorrow, that becomes frozen.
• It would be nice to alert/remind Drivers and Makers&Drivers some time before their availability time start.
We will capture all that info, insert it into the Last Mile Digital Platform© and from that moment on will share pick-up and drop-off details on-demand through our WebApp, track and trace all vehicles, support drivers, use real-time GPS-based vehicle tracking to send arrival notifications to cargo or delivery facilities to eliminate drivers need to leave the cockpit, maintain social distance and avoid contagion opportunities.
Fancy to put your best brains to work for good?
Attached our WebApp look&feel, please make your design in harmony with that.
