Pixel Art Design needed

I have this collection of simple games that AI researchers train AIs to play in, and I'm working to add pixel art to the set, and one is currently incomplete, you can see what the collection and missing ones look like here: gymlibrary.ml/environments/toy_text

We like to have pixel art created for the cliff walking game, where an elf has to walk in tiles across a cliff, from a starting tile to an ending tile, without falling into the pit
The current assets are here (https://www.dropbox.com/sh/15aamf775gssas1/AABs42C0l4QqyHzgCpMZIKHpa?dl=0) and when assembled it looks like the screenshot attached.
All the assets needed have to be in pixels, and the elf and stool assets are probably fine (though you're welcome to modify them if you think you need to), but the other assets didn't quite have the general quality we were looking for and the previous artist bailed and we were hoping to have them generally reworked and upgraded.

Please show me your examples of pixel art if you have any or portfolio on character design.
