Design details: FIRST ASSIGNMENT
We are looking for a scheduling document (likely on excel) that will accomplish the following:
This is a tool that we can use to schedule up to 10 staff members. We call this a ROTA
· draft the ROTA for a week periods at a time (week starting Monday)
· That the ROTA must be able to be printed on 8 ½ by 11 paper
· That the ROTA contains staff names, days and scheduled hours etc. for two weeks (starting Monday)
· That there is a place for each staff to write in the actual start and end times on each day.
· There should be a place where all the hours are added up for each staff member and the two week period (shaded out with “office use only”) that a manager complete
· There should be a place where the person drafting the schedule initials (“Drafted by ____”)
· There should be a place for initials where the schedule is approved (“schedule approved by ___)”
· There should be a place where the Actual Hours are reviewed (hours reviewed by _____)
· There should be a place where the Actual Hours are approved (hours approved by ____)
Target audience: Design lovers
Messages to communicate through the design: Arial, Bold, Caps, Black for headers
Garamond, grey for body content
Ideas for the visual style: Think Kinfolk or cereal magazine
