I plan to do some renovations to my flat in London at the end of the month and I want to cut out a window between the kitchen wall and the reception room wall. The kitchen has no windows so the idea is to have natural light come into the kitchen from the reception room. I am quite certain that the wall is non load bearing but I need a licensed structural engineer to make certain of this. If it turns out to be just a stud wall all I need is a letter sent to the freeholder of the building to confirm this. If for some reason it turns out to be load bearing than I have to apply for permission. If you can do this type of work please get in contact.
