Description
Experience Level: Entry
Estimated project duration: 1 day or less
Design details: Design details: I have Two 290px X 200px jpeg Restaurant Banners needed now as a trial and an ongoing requirement to create my banner Adverts for my NEWS Media Portals.
I have 15$ budget each for the creation of the static Jpeg Banners which can be any of three sizes (970px x 110px), (290px X 290px) or (290px X 200px).
Banner design guidelines:
The banner required is for an English language news and information product site in Spain. Standard banners are designed to occupy a right hand column alongside news and information articles.
Banners are shown in a column format, so each must have its own individual character, and clearly show the business activity of the advertiser, and their message.
1. Immediate visual impact. The product being sold must be immediately visible, giving a clear idea of the type of product on offer.
2. Banners contain a series of messages, each of which must be visible and with its own impact. The banners will contain several text messages: this is unavoidable as we have to convey in a very small space who the advertiser is, what they are selling, where they are and also some basic information about their product, the banners always linking through to an extensive piece of text information about the advertiser or their own webpage. Successful designs always manage to break up the banner into a series of elements, each of which stands out in its own space: in order to make the text stand out a mixture of type faces, contrasting colours and shaped message boxes has always proven more successful in the past. Where possible the aim is always to echo the branding or logo of the advertiser and follow that theme for the banner.
3. Colour choice is essential to ensure instant impact and make sure that the text stands out against the background. White is avoided as a background colour as the banner will sit on a white background, so unless a keyline is used the banners become lost against the white of the page.
4. Call to action. Each banner must include a click here message
5. Banner samples below show some of the elements used successfully in the past.
