Freelance role - senior girlswear designer

We are looking for an experienced senior designer to work on the launch collection (AW11/12) of a new, premium brand of girls clothing.

This is a great opportunity for a talented, proven designer to help shape the development of an exciting new brand.

Our range aims to provide a highly wearable capsule wardrobe of mix and match separates with a contemporary take on classic silhouettes. Core range items have already been costed for manufacture, but we are now looking for supplementary input before proceeding to sampling.

We are seeking a designer with comprehensive, senior-level experience across all girlswear categories. Critically, your portfolio must demonstrate originality and flair balanced with commercial acumen. As you will be joining an already established small freelance team (founder, designer and technician), you must have a collegiate and collaborative approach. A can-do’ attitude is also essential.

While the role is freelance, we are looking for somebody with sufficient capacity to commit to an on-going involvement in the development of future collections. Brand is based in North Hampshire (near Reading, Berkshire) so South/London based individuals preferred.

Day rate negotiable depending on experience.
