Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
Information for the business: We run career coaching days for women returning to work after a career break
Design details: We are holding a career workshop for small groups for women who are considering returning to work. We would like a flyer to advertise the workshop.
We would like to convey a feminine brand image and achieve consistency between flyer and logo. “Purposeful elegance”. is our brand description. Our market is female, 40, affluent, bright but at a crossroads after having kids. The flyer must be motivating/aspirational but non-threatening. The detailed copy is worked out and attached. The look & feel is:
• Elegant
• Purposeful
• Curves not corners
• Cool, calm colours; not primaries, avoiding anything Kath Kidston or country kitchen twee. there is a sheen to the colours rather than a matt flat.
The type of colour pallet we would like to use can be found here: http://www.pinterest.com/artfabulous/the-most-elegant-colours/
Particularly the “boiserie blue”, “caffeine tones” and “dreamy elegance” i.e. Silver/pewter, Pale teal and the Black for the silhouettes & most of the writing.
I believe the easiest font to read is comic sans, however it doesn’t look especially elegant to me!
Fonts tagged as elegant are listed here...

Alegreya, Anivers, Caviar Dreams, Elsie, Fontin, Questa Grande? Nothing with flourishes and something popular that we all have on our PCs is ideal. Happy to be advised by you on this.
Flyer Wording attached.
Logo
We like the concept of Silhouettes.
3 feminine silhouettes with a fore-shadow - the reference ideas are below.
We like the image of the people below with the secondary colour reflection (in one of our brand colours). It’s too busy at present and we wondered if you could do a simplified version of this with three purposefully elegant female silhouettes? The type of silhouette we want is the middle women in the original picture. The women pony-tailed women or far left women and the women on the right-hand side (as you look at it) of the next image (below, hands on hips).

Target audience: 40yr old (ish) well-healed women thinking about returning to work now kids are at school
Number of pages needed: 1
Content on the front/back side and body: Logo & event details - Copy is sorted and ready to go
Ideas for the visual style: See detailed brief
Things to avoid: See detailed brief
Preferred colors: See detailed brief
Extra notes: I have attached two word docs one of the silhouettes and one of the flyer copy. Please let me know if you cannot access these.
