Design details: I'd like 2 concepts for a small rear garden (approx 10x10m) in south of England.
It's a detached, new-build house with recently installed Indian stone patio. Garden is north-east facing.
I'd like to keep the patio as is, but would like some advice on what to do with the rest. We'd like to get a shed into the space behind the garage - so the project should take that into account (unless there is a better place for a shed). From the north-west side, the garden shares its border with the neighbours' garage, which means we need to have in mind the ventilation bricks on that wall.
We'd like to create a children-friendly garden (keep most of the lawn) but create some adult space to chill and also some raised beds for the low maintenance planting. Raised beds could double up as a seating area? (just an idea)
We were thinking to better utilise the only south-facing corner in the garden. We're quite overlooked so maybe some suggestions for either plants, trees or any garden structures would be appreciated.
I'd like the person to give us the rough estimates for the materials needed to be purchased for each concept (building materials, garden furniture and planting). We'd like to spend on the materials (without labour or garden furniture) less than £1000 although feel free to let us know if that's at all realistic.
I'd like to have a plan and some visuals for each concept - although no need to be too specific. We're not sure what type of style we like the most so feel free to suggest anything.
Please, when sending your proposal - please let us know what experience you have and if you worked on a similar project in the UK, so we know that the estimates are realistic.
