Job Opportunity: Fashion Pattern Cutter/Maker
We are looking for a talented Fashion Pattern Cutter/Maker to join our team, specialising in high-quality, contemporary designs that celebrate traditional textile techniques. In this role, you’ll work closely with our UK designer to develop precise patterns and prototypes, playing a crucial role in bringing each garment to life.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with designers to interpret sketches, Images and specifications, creating precise patterns for a variety of garments
- Produce sample patterns, ensuring the fit, proportion, and aesthetic align with the design vision
- Adjust patterns as needed based on fittings and designer feedback, ensuring flawless results
- Work with a range of materials, including traditional and luxury fabrics, to ensure the highest quality in finished garments
- Maintain accuracy in pattern grading, seam allowances, and construction across all sizes
- Provide technical input and creative problem-solving throughout the production process
Qualifications:
- At least 3 years of experience in pattern cutting and making, preferably within the high-end or luxury fashion sector
- Strong knowledge of garment construction, fit, and fabric behaviour
- Proficiency in pattern-making software (e.g., Gerber, Lectra) is a plus
- Detail-oriented, with a creative approach to interpreting design ideas
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team setting
