I need a textile designer for 2 vintage inspired designs for the baby market

Background
We are a small start up company offering 100% cotton muslin sheets for the baby market. The large, 1.2m x 1.2m square sheets are traditionally used for baby swaddling but is also used by new mums for a burp cloth, a loose pram cover, a summer blanket and a throw to sit down on in the park.

Design Brief
We are looking at doing 2 designs – one for baby boys and the other for baby girls.

The look and feel we are after is nostalgic, vintage, old-worldly charm with a touch of whimsy. The designs should be a loose selection of pictures/illustrations, placed non-symmetrically to cover the entire available fabric. Play with scale, repetition and other design elements to create continuity.

Design 1 – Boys
Concept is an old fashioned toy shop. Examples of pictures can include an antique tractor, a tricycle, a rocking horse, and old fashioned fire engine, a train locomotive, an old airplane and anything else fitting this general theme, maybe also a hot air balloon. The pictures should all reflect a vintage retro feel but designed in a way that will appeal to a modern young mother of a baby boy.

Design 1 - Colours
We are looking for a 2 colour design, one as background colour and the other as the image/sketch colour. For the background colour we are looking at a “dirty” blue/gray with the foreground colour to be an aquamarine green. We are looking to steer away from the traditional pastel baby blue and go for something more elegant to fit in with the vintage theme of the design.

Design 2 – Girls
For this design we are looking at a whimsical “Alice in Wonderland” feel. Selection of pictures can include an antique doll, a vintage birdcage, a vintage teaset, a rabbit etc. and again anything else complimenting this theme. New mums of little baby girls must fall in love with the whimsy of this vintage design.

Design 2 - Colours
As above, this will also be a 2 colour design. For the background colour we are looking at a raspberry pink with the foreground colour a lilac/lavender purple. Similar to the boys design, we are steering away from the traditional baby pink.
