Fashion designer to help us design a new range of men's underwear.

I am looking for a talented and enthusiastic freelance fashion designer to assist with a new range of men's underwear for a small start-up e-commerce fashion business based in Melbourne.

We aim to manufacture in Australia, as we believe that it's still possible to design and make a great product here.

Based on our design direction and specifications, the designer will have responsibility for overall garment design including graphic design, fabric selection, size specification, and pantone colour codes for fabric/prints for our range.

We require the designer to provide technical specifications, CAD development and/or full rendering in illustrator/photoshop, so we can produce samples. The designer may or may not also provide patterns.

Experience with mens underwear/athletic wear would be an advantage, but not essential so long as you have strong design and technical skills, and are familiar with current market trends, particularly with the young men's market.
