Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
I'm putting together a website for a murder mystery entertainment company and need some images to decorate the site. The theme colours for the site are Red, Black, White and Grey, the site is: murder-mystery.org
I Think this needs to be done by a British artist who fully understands the style required, i.e, Panto, Viz, Faulty Towers may give an idea.
What I need are original images, suggesting murder mystery, comedy waiters, gangsters and mols, Hammer House, type images. A pic of 1920's gangsters 2 guys, 2 molls and looking at a dead body on the floor, all with various looks of astonishment, guilt, revenge and innocence.
For another pic, we can have a comedy style Sherlock and Dr Watson with a magnifying glass looking at a table with a gun, a poison bottle, a letter opener/knife and a heavy candle holder.
The comedy waiters could be a scene with a dining room, tables, chairs, people eating and looking curiously at the waiters, tripping over, struggling with a very long wine bottle cork and another with an enormous pile of plates about to bump into one of the others. This one needs male and female characters. I'm open to ideas and suggestions, the images will be used on the website and the resolution should be ok for web.
Our product is comedy, larger than life characters who act out a comedy murder mystery around a dining room with the actors interacting with the guests in a larger than life way, often making jokes with the diners. The waiters are not real waiters, they mix with the genuine waiters and gradually start to get things very wrong in a very funny way, so that as they start to o what they do, the guests wonder why the staff are so bad, so funny, so wrong and gradually realise that they are in fact a comedy act of very bad waiters. Maybe the expressions could be less serious.
I'm wondering if this job should be done by a British artist who understands the British humour and Pantomime style of performance?
What do you think?
You can see more about comedy waiters here>>> www.spanner.co.uk
You can get an idea of british murder mystery entertainment here>> http://www.blackwatchentertainment.co.uk/gallery.html
and here>>> http://www.murdermysterycompany.co.uk/
or search british murder mystery company and you will find that all of the companies use similar theses and image styles.
If you are outside of the UK, you have NO chance of getting this work, as I need someone who fully understands the British cultural influence required.
