I am need of someone very good at drawing for a project of mine.

Greetings people allow me to introduce myself, my names Glenn, im no one special just someone who has a dream he wishes to see fullfilled.
For past eight years almost i have been working on my very own science fiction project, I myself am a huge fan of science fiction and fantasy and a massive fan of many of the greatest classics in sci fi Star wars, star trek, buck rogers, battlestar galactica, blade runner, John carpenter films and starship troopers much of my project has been inspired many of these classics.
Getting to my project it has taken me eight years to get where i am now, when i first begun this i had no experience in writing nor did i have a plan i just had an idea, but thanks to a good friend he was able to set me straight, i now had a plan, characters and a story to go with it.
My first attempt at the pilot was flawed, but over the months and years you could say i got better and made improvements to the story until a few years ago where i got lost. I had my heart set on it being set millions of years in the future where humanity was extinct but i wasnt sure whether i wanted to set it in a "lord of the rings" style fantasy and leave the sci fi behind, or go back to its roots settle for a sci fi fantasy setting which i had it before, then i changed my mind again, being a fan to steampunk i almost went for that but turned away from it immediately and went back to futuristic sci fi setting, but however i still conflicted on how to tell the story of my main character zero to hero or hero to zero. After giving it some thought and encouragement from a friend i knew i should stick with the sci fi futuristic setting and continue with the hero to zero story from the get go.
Its taken me neary four years to finally come up which i like to call "the perfect formula", i have the story i want, i have the characters i want, i know now where i want to go with this nothing now is going to change my mind i am now set on this but nows the time i really want to get this off the ground now.
The story i have created is called "The Chronicles of Canis", my pilot is written up in draft, starting redoing episode two, i have already written several volumes on paper and have a further 50 plus planned but most of these are either drafts or as short stories only explaining the what the story will be about.
The one thing that is holding me back is the lack of an artist, i need an artist to do my character designs, their clothing designs, armour, weapons, vehicles and the storyboards themselves as i woukld very much like to realse this as a graphic novel. Now i have had artists in the past but few of them never delivered or they did and lost interest or in one case whacked up their price after we agreed on a price without letting me know.
The issue i belive for the other two was either other commitments or i was paying peanuts which was 10 to 20 pounds per picture, which wasnt my intention but with a mortgage to pay and a house to maintain money can be very tight but however they were prices we agreed on and i gave them the option to back out if they wished to.
I wont lie to you lot the issue finically is still an issue now and then but i am reaching the point now where i am so desperate to get this off the ground. One artist at a recent comic con suggested working together with an artist helping each other out, they help me out and they use me as a reference, but i know thats never going to happen. Now as much as i would love to work alongside an artist as one of my goals has been to set up a teams to work on this together, i lready have someone who edits for me and i would be honoured helping he or she get their foot in the door but i know no one is going to work for free. If this is something any of you lot are interested in, to be a part of something which i am determined to get off the ground then i look forward to hearing from you guys.
On the matter of the fee I'm not sure about as I do not wish to waste your time and just want to get this off the ground so i am however open to suggestions.
