Create 2x “Action Figure” style concepts

I am looking for an illustrator to work with me to create some strong concepts for 2 “Action Figure” style characters. The concepts that you create will act as a guide for my 3D designer (I am not asking you to create a polished, final piece of work, I just need you to be creative and design 2 original characters that my 3D designer can work from). The 2 action figures will need to look good as a duo.

I have attached the style of action figure that I am looking for (this is the sort of thing that my 3D designer would produce from your concepts, so please bear this in mind in terms of the style/angular look of features/look at how the body is constructed (i.e. in sections)).

BRIEF FOR ACTION FIGURE 1: “Badass Mr T” style character
The first action figure will be based on “Mr T” (please google him – I also attach a photo of Mr T (he is a famous retro TV character from the 90's)). However, this is where I need you to be creative. Although I want it to look as much like Mr T as possible, it cannot be too similar (otherwise I could get sued). So you could do something like give him a purple mohawk, some kind of funky outfit perhaps (but I still want him to look retro and mean/badass). I will leave it to your creativity.

BRIEF FOR ACTION FIGURE 2: “Nerdy computer geek” style character
Action figure 2 will be the sidekick to action figure 1. He will be a white, nerdy computer geek type of character. Think glasses, weak jawline, maybe lab coat, bad hair style (please be creative and research into how a typical geek is depicted within cartoons).
