Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
Estimated project duration: less than 1 week
Industry: Healthcare
Design details: I want a cartoon page/ picture (singular) to represent the current problem with the healthcare. I have devised a rough idea. Our government uses the analogy of a road map to transform our care. I would like to keep the road theme.
A situation has arose whereby I will be meeting the health minister soon and I need this job done quickly. To be completed by Sunday 31st August with one revision if possible. Ive included as much detail below as to what I would like. Other suggestions are welcome.
Target audience: lay person
Messages to communicate through the design: 3 parallel motorways each with a service station. 1st service station represents A&E/ hospital. 2nd service station representing GP surgeries + the 3rd motorway has 3 service stations (private medical routes, MSK, pharmacies, Private imaging) The 1st 2 motorways should have significant bottle necks (representing how the services (A&E + GPs) cant meet the demand of the volume of traffic. High number of services available on the private motorway there are short tailbacks and slight bottle neck.
Ideas for the visual style: Primary colours
Extra notes:
I think it would be funny to have disgruntled "patients" in cars of the first two motorways. Some in the A&E lane could say- "I couldn't get a GP appointment for 3 weeks", "I've been waiting here for 6 hours" "It's like a war zone". (these are genuine quotes from earlier this year (not even joking)
The GP lane patients could say "I don't feel listened to", "7 weeks to see an NHS physio?"
People in the private lane could say- "i'd be willing to pay to get treatment sooner", "Longer appointment times mean I get heard" "they are the specialists in this field"
I've attached a very rough idea- its a birds eye view however this is not a requirement. It is very basic but roughly explains what I want.
