Caring for your new glasses
Simple ways to maintain your lenses' performance and your quality of vision
As with any precision made item, you will need to take care of your lenses to protect them from damage and to maintain their optimum performance.
Avoiding scratches and scrapes
- Keep your glasses in a case when not being worn
- If you do put them down, avoid placing the convex side of the lens face-down on any surface as they can get scratched more easily
- Never leave them lens down on a surface or in contact with sharp or abrasive objects
- Never expose your lenses to any source of heat e.g. car windscreen. Heat exposure can damage both the lenses and the frame
Safe cleaning
- For best results clean with an optical lens cloth and a special lens spray provided by your optician
- Remember to occasionally wash the lens cloth, as a dirty cloth may have accumulated particles that could scratch lenses
- Do not rub lenses with clothing, rags, paper towels or tissues made of recycled material
- Never expose lenses to harsh chemicals such as hairspray, lacquer, alkalis or acids, etc.
Content to include: Logo
Ideas for the visual style: Minimalistic, modern
Preferred colors: Blue, white
Urls to draw inspiration from: www.batemanopticians.co.uk
