Car trace to 2D image

Design details: I would like help in identifying a software package capable of producing accurate and to scale 2D templates to send through a vinyl cutter.

I need to be coached in the use of the software. I want to produce to scale 2D templates to fit a motor car within a 3mm tolerance from a digital image (or images) that I take with a digital camera from a consistent distance.

I want to convert a hi-res image/s into accurate template's that fit panels of cars. I can get these picture's, and a scale of the car so we can get measurements and angles from an online software. The design to feed into a vinyl cutter that will produce the product as seen


Detail:

3M have a product called VentureShiled. It clear vinyl, which when laid on the car is invisible, protecting against stone chips etc. The film its self is 2mm thick, very bendy and malleable and can stretch up to 8mm to fit a panel.

They have created a range of templates that fit many cars, the templates go to the edge of the panel by 2mm (so the templates don't have to be to the mm) The film goes through a vinyl cutter (A 2D cutting tool) tracing the template of the car, this prevents cutting on the paint.

I intend to produce motor car clear vinyl wraps for the front of cars just like this company….
