Rush Indesign help

I'm working in a multi-page INDD doc, and need help with a few things:

1) the text thread seems to be broken and I cannot for the life of me figure out how to relink it. (See attached screenshot.)

2) the art backgrounds on chapter openers for C-F seem to be locked, but I can't figure out how/where to unlock them.

Would you have a few minutes to help me sort this out quickly? If so, let me know your turnaround time and fee.
