Hello.
__Abstract
There are lots of small jobs that need doing.
I have an existing Book Cover Template in PSD for the Catholic Way Publishing library of books, in both 5x8 Paperback and Kindle/EPUB E-book editions. I also have an existing Logo design.
What I would like is to update the Cover only slightly, as I do not plan on retroactively updating all previously published books, only future books; so the update must be consistent before and after.

Here is what my Covers look like at present:

___Paperback Cover Update:
1. The background texture layers; could you remove the spine shadow layer and retain the two layers for the background texture; these are needed as books of course will have different spine sizes, so the back texture can be hidden under the front and moved as needed, as is currently done. So, what would you do to make this texture better, or can you think of a better design? If you think it's good as is, what I need done is the following; could you make these two texture layers "whiter". As I use the colour layer for these, when set to white, you can see the darkish grey colour of the textures, which doesn't look good. So if you could just make these layers more white, allowing for the usage of more brighter colours. Also, could you change the uneven shadowing; some parts of the layer are too dark. But it is best to not change the texture layers too much, as I the old books and new books (with this update) to look similar for a consistent look.
2. The Title and text; do you like the title font? I think Trajan Pro is good; but something is just off. Can you do better FX, kerning, etc on this? So when the title has two layers, there should be a better gap between them. I only have Elements, so I can't d this myself. Could you also do better FX on the back cover text; it looks too "grey" at present.
3. Finally, without departing too much from the overall look, could you clean up the Cover, where there are any anomalities.
Are there any recommendations you have for updating this cover, in any way so that it looks superior and more professional to the current look?
___Logo Update:
I also need the Updated Catholic Way Publishing logo PSD to be applied to the Paperback and E-Book Covers, in place of the existing, old design. The updated Cover design should look have the same colour and presentation as the old logo. So from what I can tell, it must be white instead of black; could you do this but retain the Vector layer. Also, could you position the logo design and text for the best optimal position between themselves.
Then, I refer you to the Paperback and Kindle sample DOC files; could you place the updated logo into these books, but again, they must look like the existing old logo already present. So in these cases, the logo would be inverted in a way, so that the cross is now solid; like the existing old logo.
Could I have these two variations of the logo in separate PSDs, in Vector layers.
Finally, I am looking for quality work here; I will be requesting revisions if the standard falls short of this.
Thanks for your interest.
