I seek an experienced freelancer to provide guidance and quality assurance for self-publishing a collection of short writings. The work will consist of approximately 100 pieces of original text that I intend to compile as a single PDF document and publish in both softcover and digital formats.

While I have designed a cover to suit the intended A5 paperback size, I require the expertise of a publishing specialist to validate that the dimensions and layout are formatted correctly as to avoid potential issues when submitted to distributors. In addition to inspecting and approving the cover design, responsibilities will involve checking pagination and formatting of introduction materials.

This is an opportunity to lend a discerning eye and helpful hand to an independent author undertaking their first self-publishing project. The selected freelancer should possess knowledge of both digital and physical publication requirements and standards. Confidence in document layout and cross-platform consistency is important to ensure the finished work meets distribution guidelines.

This short-term contracting role is anticipated to require approximately one hour of the freelancer's time during the final weekend of September. The focus is on quality control and troubleshooting rather than significant design work. Candidates with relevant publishing experience who can deliver timely feedback within the stated timeframe are encouraged to submit proposals.
