This project involves updating an old rigged and animated racehorse and jockey model in 3DS Max for export to FBX format.
I am currently trying to import an older 3D model into Unity 3D. The model was rigged with the now defunct Physique modifier which will not export correctly to the FBX format needed to import the model into Unity.
The jockey was originally converted from a biped to bones before it was joined to the horse. I have tried the automatic physique to skin converter scripts but due to the unusual nature of the model these scripts do not work. I have numerous files archived from the original modelling process running from the conversion of the jokey from biped to boned and stages of attaching it to the horse model. The final scenes we have of the finished model do not, as far as I can tell, have a skin pose for the jockey model though there is a skin pose earlier files before the animation was done (see attached screen grabs).
Summary of this job:

3) Perform any tweaks necessary to ensure model imports / animates correctly
