Hi there,
I am about to commission a garage conversion and would like to understand the implications of 2 different designs....
1. Garage as per drawing WITHOUT sunken living space.
2. Garage as per drawing WITH sunken living space. NOTE the sunken living space should extend to storage area also.
A further point, if the roofights chosen need steel supports, I will gladly reduce the size to save on costs.
I would like both options to be drawn up by structural engineer and I'd like building regs completed also. I would like input into both.
