In 2050 the Earth will have a population of 10 billion and because of that we must think deeply about how to use the land and the natural resources efficiently and responsibly in order to survive.
Project 2023-2 was designed to function 100% green off grid for an unlimited time. It was possible to design the power plant of this project to work off grid because the electrolyzers are the game changer in the residential green electricity. We know that sometimes we have extra electricity which cannot be received by the home battery and if the grid is not taking that electricity we have to direct that electricity to the dump load. But, by having the electrolyzers the electricity which cannot be received by the home battery will be used to produce green liquid hydrogen. For the situation when there is not wind and sun enough to keep the home battery charged then the backup generator will use the green liquid hydrogen to keep the battery charged.
Project 2023-2 is a nine-story building plus the attic. The ground level is used as parking and the Packing and Delivery Rooms for the vertical farming facility. Level 2 to Level 7 has 30 units and each level has five units. Level 8 and Level 9 plus the attic are designed to function as a vertical farming facility. The power plant of this building has (28) FX-20kW, 220V vertical axis wind turbines and the roof is covered with solar shingles. The porches on the north side of the building and the balconies on the south side of the building are enclosed with photovoltaic glass. The exit stairs and the Nursery Rooms on the east side of the building are enclosed with photovoltaic glass and the same situation is on the west side of the building. I designed this project to be sold by parts: 1) as apartment units, 2) as parking spots (each garage door has parking for two cars and each parking spot is equipped with Level 2 electric chargers), 3) as a power plant, and 4) as a vertical farming facility.
Through this project my goal is to build safe, affordable, energy efficient homes with clean indoor air for people with low income and to produce residential green electricity, to produce food in the vertical farming facility, and to tackle the climate change.
Migration and climate change became a problem and a huge pressure globally. This kind of buildings can produce jobs, green electricity, green liquid hydrogen, food, and affordable homes everywhere in the world which can tackle this crisis in Africa, in South America, in the Middle East--everywhere.
