Description
Experience Level: Expert
In Australia we put our rubbish in wheelie bins, the trouble is that they are the perfect place for flies to lay their eggs, which turn into maggots, which turn into a nightmare! So we've invented an automated insecticide aerosol that sprays every time the lid is closed.
There are two design challenges. #1 Fixing it to the lid of the wheelie bin and making sure it doesn't fall off when the bin is emptied. #2 Designing the unit. We want a product that looks different from the other automated aerosols on the market. It needs to look like 'the protector' so that people can feel safe from maggots when they put the bins out.
We need concept designs (for #1 and #2) for 5pm Wednesday 20th November (Australia EST). These do not need to be fully rendered, pencil roughs/sketches will do.
To win this assignment you will need to convince us that you have some good ideas for challenges #1 and #2, so you might want to tell us in writing how you will approach each challenge.
We have a budget of Aus$500 for these initial concept designs. We will then agree a budget for producing 3D computer renders.
Please see the two attachments.
