Conversion and update of a 2D badge style logo to 3D

We currently have a badge style 2 dimensional logo for a printing company, which we would like to update and turn into a high quality 3 dimensional logo.

The 3D logo will then be used on letterhead, and also website, and also potentially looking at a 30-40 second animation also.

Please provide samples of any previous 2d-3d work. Ideally looking for a professional metallic style material rather then our current cartoon style badge.
