Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
Estimated project duration: 3 - 4 weeks
Industry: Entertainment
Design details: We are looking to make 55 Weapon models for minecraft. We will supply the weapon designs we just need to have them remade into models that can be used in the game of minecraft.
Ideas for the visual style: All of the weapons are swords, axes, maces and other things of that nature. Some of them are fantasy themed and some are more realistic.
Urls to draw inspiration from: http://bdcraft.net/cubik
Extra notes: Minecraft has some limitations so to get a model made that would work inside the game we would need it done in a program called Cubix (BDcraft). This program allows for some types of files commonly used for creating 3d models to be imported (obj.). However the program pixelates the models and requires retexturing inside of the program itself. There is also the route of creating the items from scratch inside of the program (this is the way we recommend as it is very challenging to retexture items inside the program).
Regardless of the obstacles needing to use Cubix poses, we think anyone with a decent amount of 3d modeling experience would have no trouble learning this program in a few hours’ time.
Our budget is very flexable for this project.
