task/brief
plan & create a virtual scene of your own design using autodesk maya software 2015. The scene should have both interior and exterior aspects. It should demonstrate an advanced level on modelling techniques based on the taught material of this module.
assessment criteria
The following table is a guide to how your work will be assessed in each category of the taught material.
Each of the three stages (planning, design & creation) will be taken into consideration.
nurbs: bezier curves, functions (revolve, loft, extrude, planar), history/nodes
polygons: components (edges, faces, vertices), functions (extrude, boolean), edge loops, cut faces, tool settings
textures: materials/textures, shader networks, uv textures, bump & normal maps
lighting: light type, shadows, environmental lighting, HDR, lighting effects.
rendering: scanline, raytrace, z-buffer, backface, culling, global, illumination, ambient occlusion, final gather, file types.
aesthetics: composition, visual elements, mood, style form.
