Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
Design details: I need to redesign an audio floorbox chassis plate to incorporate new plastic XLR connectors where it was previously designed around more expensive metal types.
Photos of the box are attached to show the idea and I have drawn up most of the parts in 2D using AutoCAD LT.
3D CAD files for the connectors themselves are all available online from Neutrik so it is simply a question of recreating the box, base PCB (as per photos) and chassis plate then importing the Neutrik CAD files. Once this is done we will be able to make sure everything is going to fit correctly with adequate space for cables etc. then I want
1) A mechanical layout for a PCB which will connect the pins of the connectors to screw terminal or IDC type blocks. You do not need to do the PCB design itself - this will be done in Eagle using the mechanical layout that you have provided in dxf format.
2) Engineering drawings for the chassis plate which will be folded from sheet steel
3) Some cutout views (to be specified) to assist in the preparation of installation instructions
Some knowledge of audio/electronics will be an advantage (but is not a deal breaker if it is made up by superior mechanical design expertise and a willingness to learn)
I am looking for a proficient speedy 3D designer preferably UK based and with reasonably consistent availability.
Ideas for the visual style: Sheet metal work
Extra notes:
Please confirm your availability with your bid - I need this job doing this week.
