Description
Experience Level: Expert
I need an artistic 3-D rendering focusing on the front elevation of this custom house. I think the plan is good but I just need a great looking rendering of the front elevation only as the goal of this project. This is a basically a facade/ roof massing/ scale of window study- I need this for the purpose of selling this idea to the owner as she does not like the current elevations provided by the Architect- it's too rigid and lacks character and detail.
Please see the current elevation that her architect has done with the inspiration photo side by side. The scale of architectural dormers and window/wall relationships are not correct, right now the windows are too large versus wall surface; roof massing is too big (feel free to reduce and vary roof heights; dormers are too small. We are not locked in to the roof lines so feel free to be creative on this project!
Overall elevations look too rigid and formal- see inspiration photos 1, 2 & 3 from the owner of what she likes her house to feel like and look. Perhaps there is a play between cast stone quoining on the sides of exterior walls with an entablature and base but the walls can be painted white stucco like a house in Palm Beach- the outside walls do not have to be all stone. Feel free to compose the front elevation so the windows are smaller in scale and look more architectural- right now there is very little wall left (windows are too massive)....
Show good use of massing, good scale used for windows and dormers, in relation to the overall house height and footprint.
Environment- feel free to add a person or too with some landscape/ trees/hedges around?
I've included the owner's inspiration photos, the current architect's plans and his 3-D models of the entire house- but again, I would like you to just focus on explaining and presenting the front elevation (with your artistic input after looking at her inspiration photos).
FYI- I do not have the CAD files.
