Design an eye catching report template which helps bring to life a dull read

I write business reports on companies environmental and social performance. The template I currently follow is very dull and I use a number of templates in the appendix, which again make for very dull reading. I'm not looking for anything too crazy, just bringing this to life in a more engaging format. Usually around 10 pages but structure is standardised from one page to the next e.g. first column 'issue heading', second column 'key observations' second column 'key recommendations'. Ideally looking for a template which I can write-over as and when I need to write a report.
