Design a new logo

Hi

I am looking for an experienced logo designer to help me create a logo for my new company - the industry is writing/editorial etc.

I have a couple of ideas, however I would also be really grateful for some suggestions re colour and style. I would like the logo to be interesting, yet not overly complicated or difficult to read.
