Design a logo for my horror manga website

I need a logo created for my new horror manga website. The image cannot depict copyrighted characters or images, so it must be something completely original.
Design-wise, I am open to ideas and suggestions. It must reflect the content of the website; relating back to horror and manga.
The logo will be used prominently online, however it may also be used in print (particularly as part of business cards).
A selection of ideas and concepts would be preferred, though single concepts will also be considered.
Time is fairly important; I would rather get the image ASAP (within the next couple of weeks if possible), so if working to a tight deadline is not possible, please let me know.

A last note - Nothing too graphic nor purely gorno; it must be suitable to be used as a logo after all!
