Design a logo

I am looking for a logo for http://www.thedevilinthegrape.com/, a company I have set up in Japan aiming to challenge the over gilded over priced wine scene in Japan. We will be importing, retailing, doing a wine bar, etc. Thus devil as in shaking things up rather than some behorned red monster. Please see website for a better idea of the concept we have in mind.

We are looking for someone to create our devil. It would be good if this could be a combined character and logo since that way we are killing two birds with one stone. The character can then be removed from the logo for future adventures.

We envisage future adventures to include an anti bad wine poster campaign - e.g. tenpin bowling scene with bad wine such as Yellow Tail as skittles having just been smashed with a bowling ball, wine splattered everywhere as though blood, caption "A strike against bad wine"; or what looks like a shooting party scene, group of betweeded toffs, however, quarry is not a grouse but a flying bottle of Yellow Tail, caption "Open season on bad wine". That kind of thing.

Also a cartoon series using our devil as the main character - looking to create a version of the very popular Japanese wine manga the Drop of God.

So we need an artist who will work with us on an ongoing basis.

Ideally a wine lover but not necessary. It would also be good if you have been to Japan, but again not necessary.

In terms of the character what I have in mind is the Perrier Jouet lady (see attached). Our target audience in Tokyo is hungry and thirsty foreigners and 25yo+ Japanese ladies, J men largely being a lost cause so we would like to create someone attractive and inspiring. For the purposes of the logo we would like to have her sitting or lying inside a stylised grape, with a glass of wine in her hand, with an expression similar to the girl in red's feminine "come drink with me" expression.

In terms of her precise position / pose, we want to strike the right balance between alluring and slutty so that the image is going to appeal to both men and women.

I think that the Jouet advert achieves this well for example. We could for example have her sitting inside the grape, back to the grape "wall", the curve of the grape matching that of her body, so that she is side on to us, head turned either fully or partially towards us with a "come drink with me" suggestion, glass in hand.

Up to you whether you think she is best represented photo like or with a manga inspired cartoon aspect.

Please bear in mind that we need her to be a person to feature in future adventures.

Clothes or no clothes? I think that naked is best, but obviously not showing any bits. Having her naked inside a grape also has the effect of giving almost a womb like symbolism as though it represents the birth of the devil.

Colour scheme quite monochrome as in the Jouet pic. Glimpse of a tattoo across her back / nape, which we would like to be a stylised version as you see fit of the name The Devil in the Grape written in the Sex Pistols font as per the website http://www.thedevilinthegrape.com/
