Design a business logo

We are starting a new company and quite frankly, the owners design for the logo is amateurish. I would like to have it redesigned for him.

I don't have a copy of the logo to upload but I will do a sketch in the oh so powerful MS Paint to give a rough idea of the current concept. The company is called Pinnacle Power Solutions. We do power line construction. The idea of the logo is it is two P's (sort of) mirrored to make a pinnacle.

The logo is extremely open to creative license. I am envisioning a very stylish logo. Like the splash screen of Windows 7 vs the old windows logo of the window frame with 4 colors. With that in mind, also consider this logo will be on letter heads, business cards, t-shirts and vehicle doors, where the color pallet may be limited or the small size might affect detail. A possible solution might be 2 logos, the same design, but one being flashier for the website, emails, letter heads, and another with a limited color gradiant and shadowing for shirts and vehicles.

I don't have a budget per se. Looking for proposals.
