Design 3 concepts for a website homepage

We are an established website design agency based in Hastings, East Sussex UK, looking to expand our team of regular freelance designers to create concepts for a range of clients from SME's to multinationals. We meet with the client and take a detailed design brief which is emailed out to one of our designers, one week later they send back minimum three very different homepage designs in flat JPG format – samples attached for this particular project. It is very important to stress the difference side as previous designers have attempted to send me one design in three colour schemes and our clients want more than that. We then upload these to our web space and send the link to the client, you have no direct contact unless the client specifically requests it from us and that is super rare. If the client chooses one of the designs, you send us the original layered photoshop or fireworks file for that design and you get £200 on invoice, easy! If the client requests changes or refinements we usually handle these in house but if we don’t have time we would pay £50 per refined design – e.g. “change blue to green, underline text links, make photo full width and resubmit to us”.

The downside would be that if the client completely rejects all three designs we can’t charge and therefore you don’t get paid but I’ve never (touch wood) had that happen in 11 years as I personally take the brief, translate it to the designer and vet the concepts before they’re presented. Before commissioning, we will need to see examples of your design work to ensure we correctly match your style to the individual client, so sample URLs should be provided with any expression of interest.
