Background

We sell automotive parts into a specialized market. Data on the parts is supplied to us in CSV files which we then transfer to our own CSV formatted file, which is then used to update our database.

Often data is missing as it is not supplied by the parts manufacturer. We have to enhance that data in our own format in preparation for upload to our own database.

A basic understanding of automotive components used on engines, and the American terms for these components would be an advantage to understanding the data sets.

Job Type - Data entry.

• Extracting data from supplied CSV files and copying that data into a specific CSV format.
• Conducting research on other websites to identify missing information, and updating the CSV file with that data.
• Match image names provided by the supplier to products in the CSV file.
• Where the manufacturer does not provide an image for a product, identify a suitable image from the Internet and save that image for use by us.
