Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
Estimated project duration: 1 day or less
General information for the website: Need some CSS changes and slight mods to the WP template files
Kind of development: Customization of existing website
Description of every page/module: The Genesis child theme to be modified is Eleven40 by Studiopress: http://my.studiopress.com/themes/eleven40/#
Here is my install you would be working on: http://tutorialgirl.com/wp2/
Description of requirements/features: I'm a web designer and would like you to modify my Genesis child theme based on the Photoshop file I would provide you with. The changes are somewhat basic and mainly to improve on the existing theme's design. Modifications include:
- Update CSS to reflect my design, such as font families, sizes, spacing, colours, etc.
- Add an email optin in the top where the site description is showing. (This might need to be updated to be a sidebar using the Genesis eNews widget)
- The home page template will need to be modified to make the first post show a Featured Image, as it currently does not (only shows image from post). I would also like to include the Featured Image at the top of single posts.
- Move/change some of the meta data that is showing on the home and archive pages to match how I have it in my design.
- Add a label to featured images that are categorized as 'Tutorial'. See the red label on the first post in my mockup.
You can ignore the content I have in the sidebars/aside right now as it will change.
View the provided JPEG of my mockup to evaluate the CSS changes.
I would need this asap and will provide you with a final PSD file and specific instructions and details.
I will only work with someone who has experience working with the Genesis framework.
Specific technologies required: Genesis framework
