We are launching an ecommerce website anticipated for the 1st of December 2013 which will be in the sports nutrition, health and wellness arena.
We have a partially developed website with navigation and basic theming done. We have loaded in the products and now require highly customised product descriptions for each product.
Number of brands: 330
Number of product pages: 3500 approximate
The number of pages are to be designed in one of two ways:
1. Highly customised product description please see example:

2. Pages with just text which will need basic CSS styling on paragraph section headings and bullet points to match branding. So if Coco Cola, headings would be red with black page background.

From the approximate 3500 products that require product descriptions probably 60% of the products will be designed with just basic CSS. The other 30% will require fully customised descriptions by taking descriptions from the brand website itself and other resources where required.
Ideally what we are looking for is a similar replica of the bodybuilding.com website, but only the brands which we will provide a list of.

Where the product does exist on bodybuilding.com, we will require a like for like copy of the page. ONLY if it can be seen that the images have been sourced from the manufacturer's website and the pictures have just been reworked to fit the product description i.e just trimmed. But if it seems the picture have been custom designed by an in-house design team at bodybuilding.com then, a little creativity will be required to create a similar version. ULTIMATELY trying to avoid plagiarism/exact copying of bodybuilding.com.
Requirements will be to create all brand descriptions and html files placed in separate brand folders and a universal CSS file with all styles from ALL brand pages linking to this file. Clean CSS required, commented with new brand sections and commenting where global styling is being used across multiple brands.
The ideal Freelancer
1. Fast. The project must be delivered on time.
2. Flexible. If a brand styling needs to be changed then must be willing to take on small tweaks.
3. Dedicated. If you are overloaded with other projects, please do not submit a pitch. We need a freelancer who will take the project on as a priority.
4. Photoshop skills for creating alternative description graphics as required.
5. Understanding of how to integrate YouTube videos into the product description, on a very few number of product.
6. Written fluency with English.
Rewards
1. We will be adding another 300 brands by February 2014 so there is scope for continued work.
2. We will be developing 4 micro sites, so further work available for the right freelancer.
3. A potential bonus if we receive exceptional work ahead of schedule.
4. A sub-task in future (not required at the moment) is to add SEO links to keywords in the product description which would like to specific articles.

1. We will provide a list of all the brands required
2. We will provide a list of bookmarks where you can obtain product descriptions from.
3. We will require 2 pages to be designed and developed before we engage your services. Unfortunately there are too many below-standard freelancers on PPH and we need to make sure we have a competent designer with adequate coding, graphical and creative skills to delivery the project. We expect these 2 pages should take no more than 30 minutes to complete and you will only be paid for this if we engage your service following acceptable results from the 2 pages.
