Create a Joomla Plugin to Enhance Redirect Component

When a menu item is moved or the alias changes, the URL of the page changes. When a user visits that page they get a 404 error and the URL is displayed in the Redirect screen.

The user then has to manually create a redirect to where the content has moved to.

I want this process automated so that the redirect plugin automatically creates a redirect link to a menu item when its alias changes. The change should only apply to the base menu item that has changes, not its children.

So if fsw/folder1/article3 is changed to fsw/folder2/article3

Then the redirect manager should create a redirect that takes people from fsw/folder1/x to fsw/folder2/x

All relative links will therefore also be automatically mapped.
