Convert a pdf document to word

I have a 286 page pdf document, need to convert this to word exactly as it is the pdf. I imagine you can do this using a software however there are some images and formulae that need to be converted to text manually. Once this is done I need it to be edited because software tends not to pick up the words in the pdf properly.
