Hi,
This is the first out of a series of projects plus I'm looking for a longterm coder/webdeveloper, but somebody who's fluent in HTML5 and JS/CSS3 animation. Flash-like, but without flash (see details at the end of the description).
I have clients who need really creative work done and I have a background in webdesign but really enjoy the visual part, so I am looking for a long-term collaboration.
For this project I need the following:
I need some homepage customization for a client who has an OpenCart site.
See the 2 images below, before you continue reading the rest.
The homepage will have a background image and one section where an image of eyes needs to be able to fade in/out to another image. Those other images will be the same eyes with different colors and which image (thus which color) is chosen is based on where the viewer's mouse is.
If the mouse is inside one of the shapes, then the eyes needs to show (fade in) the version that has that same color.
When the mouse is anywhere else, the eyes fade back to black.
The triggers should really only happen when the mouse is over one of the shapes, so we can not have a bounding box that triggers it. We need an image map or some other option, up to you to decide, but I'd like to see in the proposal how you intend to do it.
"I can do this, let's start" type of proposals will be ignored, regardless of how low your price is.
This is relatively simple so give some idea of how you're going to work, how much time it will cost, including adding it to the OpenCart site.
In addition, please let me know if you're interested in future collaboration on interactive/animation type of development that doesn't use flash. Note however, that your portfolio or links you sent me need to show you have done plenty of this type of work, whether for clients or if you have a blog and experimented a lot with this.
These are a few examples of things that I'm looking for for other projects:
http://meru.ca/
http://www.mrdoob.com/#/120/harmony
http://www.clicktorelease.com/code/css3dclouds/
However, for this project anybody can apply who knows how to make image-maps or other ways to make it work how I outlined it above.
Include in your proposal the amount of hours to complete the project. It's important since I might otherwise reject if the hourly rate is too high (I'm working with small businesses mostly) but if you have a lot of experience and whip out these things much faster than others would, I will certainly consider you for this or for future work.
NB.
English and communication needs to be smooth and if you have no reviews or no professional looking portfolio, I'm sorry but I can't consider you.
Let me know if you have any questions.
Cheers!
