Children's Publisher looking for creative and talented freelance editors

We are a new, small but perfectly formed children's publisher with books already being sold into trade for September this year and beyond and we are looking for talented and creative editors to take our books and edit primarily for the UK market. We're not just looking for someone who can cross the T's and dot the I's we need someone who can take copy and shape it into the type of books we're becoming known for - high quality in every way including the finished printed copy! We want our editors to take ownership of the stories and be totally comfortable (and able) to re-write author's submitted text as necessary. Our publishing schedule ranges from picture books for children aged 5+, to gift books which cross over to the adult market. Please note that at this moment in time, we're only looking for editors who have sound experience in the childrens sector.
