I need this project for tomorrow! Is anyone available?
Introduction
You are required to critically evaluate the merits of joining the Irish Computer Society (ICS), specifically as a student. The ICS has a number of membership types, the Student membership is the only free subscription.
Specific Requirements
Please address the following questions below in the form of a short structured report entitled “Critical Evaluation of ICS Student Membership”:
1. If the student subscription is free, how does it compare to the paid subscription versions?
2. During the student membership registration process you are required to agree to a Code of Professional Conduct (see screenshot above). Review the principles and state whether they are agreeable to you, or not, by justifying your position.
3. The membership Code of Professional Conduct refers to the Council of European Professional Informatics Societies (CEPIS). What is the primary purpose of this council?
4. With regard to the ACM Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct, what are the key similarities and key differences between its proposed Professional Conduct and the one offered through the ICS Code of Professional Conduct? (The ACM document is posted on Moodle).
5. With regard to Ethical Theories (Act Utilitarianism, Kantianism, Rule Utilitarianism, Social Contract Theory), is there a particular ethical theory that is aligned to the Code of Professional Conduct offered up by the ICS? (You can refer specifically to the lecture ‘Ethics & Ethical Theories’ covered in-class).
