I need help to create/fix an MS Project programme

I have very basic knowledge of MS Project, and I am trying to create a project plan for a construction job we are going to do. I have created a template, and now I am trying to fill it out. I am having a couple of problems.

1. I want to show the two week over Christmas as breaks/closed
2. On some rows I cannot see the task bars in gantt chart view, but I can see them in print view
3. I want to split a task in two on the same line

The overall start date for the project is 2nd September 2024 and end date is 31st May 2026

I would like the colours to be the green ones I have one on the MS Project file

Can you add the logo to the top right of the project file

Make is so it all appears on one page

I have attached the MS Project File and an Excel file with the date for the first task.

I think I may have messed a few things up by changing things in the bar styles, but not sure.

Can you help me make this work?
