Excel Wook book built to track event points

I am hoping to get some help creating an excel sheet that I can use to record and track a list of participants, and their points, for several events each year. I would like it to be appealing when printed, and easy to enter information into - it is not a super complex project. Attached is an example that is what the current helper was making in Word, but it is not efficient.

I will be constantly adding participants and event columns to the workbook throughout the year, so I need to be able to easily add lines and have the totals still populate.
