Information to be included in each chapter: We're expanding our company and need a business plan to support some initiatives such as grant funding etc. We're really well established already with sales track record, lots of customers, feedback, solid website, products etc.

We have a specific business plan template and we need a writer to pad out the headers detailed below with a few paragraphs for each.

I'll just give you an overview summary of the business to you, where we're heading, plans, goals etc and links to resources. You then just put it all together into something that reads nice (this is quite a short plan, and each point can be covered rather briefly in a sentence or two). I will of course be on hand to answer questions throughout.

I only want an applicant from the UK for this job.


B Introduction and Background
When and by whom was the company founded?
What are the company’s activities?
How did the idea for the business come about?
What is the ownership structure of the company?
From where does the company operate?
Who/where is the company’s current customer base?

C The Proposal
Discuss what the investment project is aiming to achieve (e.g. launching a new concept into an established industry/address new market opportunities) with a view to establishing and developing/growing the business
When do you expect the project to start?
Identify the market opportunities currently presented
Identify and comment on the nature of the investment required
Itemised list of Costs
Job Creation - Quantify the employment situation

D Management and Organisation
Company Ethos (is there a Company Mission Statement?)
Do you have on board all the necessary skills and experience to run the business successfully and manage the growth process?
If not, what skills do you need and how are you going to find them?
Comment on and briefly profile the responsibilities and strengths of the Management Team (knowledge and experience)
How long has the team worked together?
What problem areas do you foresee with the business and how do you propose to overcome them?
What are the personal aspirations of the management team? (quantify where possible a timeframe)
What will be the company’s policy on training/staff development?
In addition to detailed CV’s for directors, please provide a list and brief profile of key staff members (with CV’s where appropriate) including details of what their responsibilities will be within the company
A Management and Organisation chart should be produced

E The Product
All of the proposed company products, processes and services need to be described in detail – how does it work?/what does it do?, along with a list of the company’s secured or targeted customers (name, location and percentage of forecast turnover you anticipate they will account for)
Does the product/process have a competitive advantage?
Does the product/process have a patent? If not, are there any barriers to entry preventing new entrants from eroding your market position?
How will you stay ahead of the competition?
Comment on in-house resources and the use of sub-contract work/services (where appropriate)
Will the project see the launch of any new products/services to the market?

F The Market
Do you hold any information on the markets in which the company operates? (historical statistics, forecast statistics, preferably from an independent source)
Can we quantify the size of the market?
Can we quantify the share of the market you are aiming for as a result of the investment?
Have you identified a gap in the market?
Will your product/process fill that gap?
Do you have a marketing plan?
Can we claim that the company will operate in a specialist/niche market?
Who and where are your main competitors based?
With regard to potential customers, can we obtain correspondence from them regarding their growth ambitions and the part that you would be able to play in them?
We need to produce a market sector SWOT analysis (possibly!!)
