I already have gip insurance through work at 75% for 5 years as I'm currently in hospital. Can I take out a private income protection alongside it? Or do I need to wait. Years? If I have to wait, what is the maximum deferred period? I suffered a stroke in 2024

    If you're looking for life insurance relating to your stroke etc unfortunately an insurance company is unlikely to cover these as existing conditions
