Commercial Litigation - Compulsory Purchase – Manchester City Council owes me £18000+ but is disputing to pay.
I want a Barrister or solicitor to work for me on low fees.
Few years ago, Manchester City Council (MCC) made me offer of £18000 to buy my ‘Indian Food Takeaway’ Shop in Manchester. This offer was accepted. The process to transfer money to my account was ongoing but my landlord told MCC that I owe him money and he has forfeited my lease for non payment of few months rent. Which is not true.
On these bases MCC stopped my payment. To save time by taking landlord to courts, we offered some money to landlord without prejudice base and he got agree to re-activate my lease again.
My solicitor told this latest situation that landlord is agreeing to re-activate the lease and his objection has been resolved without prejudice offer. So tell us what should we do to get released our £18000 from you.
MCC said to my solicitor that go to court and get this order from court that lease is activated.
MCC didn’t ask solicitor to call them in court hearing too, also there was no need for MCC to attend court because it was between me and landlord about our lease.
Landlord was agreed so my solicitor got order from court that lease is active now.
When my solicitor passed this order to MCC, they said we still can’t release money because you didn’t involve us in court hearing, even they never asked us to involve them.
On this point they refused our payment.
My solicitor was not specialist in commercial disputes, he lodged complaint to Ombudsman Services but they said it is not our case, go to Land Tribunal.
I can’t spend much money on Land Tribunal for no reason. My solicitor asked me to involve any Specialist lawyer for this case.
This case should be simple but MCC is making it complicated.
I need Experienced & Specialist Lawyer who has already handled these kinds of cases with MCC to deal with my case.
If you are one of them, Please feel free to contact me for any question and further detail.
Thanks
