Quickbooks help

I now have an accountant but I need to get my books in order prior to letting him take over! I need someone to spend a day with me in my office to set up Quickbooks for me and basically give me a tutorial while you enter the transactions. As I am a very small business, there aren\'t actually a lot of transactions to date, but I am struggling with Quickbooks Pro 2006 (happy to upgrade if necessary) particularly with the VAT and foreign bank transfers in USD transactions. I\'m a quick learner (took one year of cost accounting in University many years ago) so hoping one day will be adequate to set everything up.
My accountant recommended Kashflow but I would prefer to have more control than a web-based application.

As I live in Cheshire (Macclesfield area) it would be preferable if you lived nearby. First VAT return due end March so need someone quickly!
