I have been trading for a few years and submitted the accounts and have SA302s and various end of year accounts for the last 3 years. However, the lender who is going to provide the mortgage requires an accountant who is a member of a professional society to check the accounts and then sign the decalaration attached to say that I can afford the mortgage. Mainly to verify that I do get the income stated which is easily checked
